Im Ova Ere Dad has been in good form of late but Don Cantillon's gelding may now be a shade high in the weights and preference is for Smokin Joe, with Aggravation rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed improved form at Kempton last time and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice for Jim Best's six-year-old today. Hugh Morrison's Tremelo Pointe is less exposed than most of these and has to be of interest, while Torquemada probably needs some help from the handicapper and is still 4lbs higher than when last successful. Ian Wood's Meditation is similarly seemingly fighting a losing battle against the handicapper and of more interest may be David Elsworth's Aggravation who has been running consistently well of late. Smokin Joe looks to be going the right way now though and he looks a better bet.
