Verdict
We will just give the vote to Secret Night, with Spearit, Brandywell Boy and, possibly, Some Diva, given as the main dangers. Spearit finally came good over five furlongs here last time, while Secret Night won over course and distance, and there would not be much between them on the balance of their form, we feel, but Spearit is better drawn. Given that he is two pounds better off for the head that Secret Night beat him in that event referred to, Brandywell Boy has to come well into things, although he too has a wide draw to contend with. Hogmaneigh did well to win at Ayr after a troubled run on his debut, but the fact that he is having only his first run on this surface is a concern. A 200,000 euros half brother by Cadeaux Genereux to Resplendent Glory, Matuza is a very interesting newcomer. A half-sister to Primo Valentino, Some Diva showed some promise on her all-weather debut and has to be given consideration, while Perfect Treasure ran green but showed some ability here over a shorter trip on her debut, but Highland Song needs to find improvement to feature. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Secret Night.
