Verdict

A race where caution is very much the key to placing those bets. With little form decent form around, punters are likely to get sucked in to backing one or other of the two recent winners, Promising King and Chandelier. The races in which they both succeeded were similarly moderate affairs and they may find it difficult to follow up. On the face of it Chandelier might appear to have the better chance with his 7lb claimer aboard, but we will side with Promising King. Despite his 7lb rise in the weights, Gerard Butler's runners are going well enough to suggest that there is just a bit more to come from this three year old and that should be enough to follow up. None of the remainder set the pulse racing, though Non Ultra's Wolverhampton run last time was good enough to give her a chance of making the frame again here if she can reproduce it on the polytrack.
