In depth
Verdict
A modest affair which should be within reach of SUSHITAN who is preferred to Zafranager and French Hollow. Both Gary Moore and Tony Carroll have their strings in good form at present and Sushitan and the higher rated Zafranagar may be the two to concentrate on. The latter landed a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham earlier in the season and produced another sound performance on his latest start. He's been off since but should be straight enough and merits respect on his return to racing on the level having shown improved form over obstacles in the interim. Sushitan has a couple of pieces of form to his name over course and distance including a creditable third behind Souter Point in a maiden last July. He has something to find at the weights but may be worth another chance with his yard in such good form. French Hollow is rated his superior and is also open to improvement after just three starts on the level in which he has impressed. The front two pulled a long way clear of the field on his latest run at Wolverhampton and he may well go one better. The newcomers need to be monitored for signs of market confidence but the three aforementioned runners set a fair standard and could dominate this contest; marginal preference is for Sushitan.
