        Verdict

        In the fillies handicap, Madrigale is selected ahead of Dancing Duo, Isobel Rose and Whipchord. Dancing Duo comes here on the back of a Wolverhampton win and, even though the form does not seem to amount to much, she cannot be ruled out. Isobel Rose's mark could be fair as she goes handicapping while stepping up in trip, and Grand Lucre possibly has it to prove now in handicaps, but Madrigale gained some reward for consistency when scoring over course and distance last time and, given that her mark reads as fair enough, she gets our vote in this race. Whipchord's best Turf efforts translated into all-weather runs would give her a chance and, given that this is a three-year-old handicap and that there are some lightly-raced individuals among the line-up, improvement from a number of these this season is entirely possible. Based on what we know, though, we will side with Madrigale.
