        Verdict

        Like most of these, FONTERUTOLI is a rare winner but went close at this track last month. He gets a tentative vote to go one better in this company. Corn Maiden scored over 1m4f at Brighton in October but her only win on the all-weather came at Southwell while Kindlelight Storm's sole victory came over 7f. Dual course and distance winner Salient arrives badly out of form and Bennelong makes more appeal off his current mark.
