        Verdict

        A competitive opener with several leading contenders but Summer Shades appears to have plenty going for him and is handed the TEAMtalk vote. The daughter of Green Desert has held her form throughout the season and followed a comfortable Wolverhampton handicap success last month with a narrow defeat in useful company at Leicester. Mark Brisbourne's filly has good claims at the weights and can take advantage of a low draw to notch her fourth career win. There are plenty of dangers such as Golden Brief, a consistent performer on turf of late, and Epsom handicap winner Concubine if fit following a seven week absence. Adobe and Al Muallim are both capable of going close while Rich Pickins should be noted in the first-time visor.
