Verdict

HEROSTATUS is running out of opportunities to live up to his billing but this longer trip should help and he may be able to take Paul Hanagan a step closer to lifting the jockeys' championship. In fairness to the gelding, he hasn't run too badly with the exception of one run at Southwell where the fibresand surface may not have suited and he may come into his own now stepped up in trip. The lightly raced Beggar's Opera is feared most despite running no sort of race on his first outing since March as that was simply too bad to be true. Numide and Dalhaan are well handicapped but have shown little sign of a return to form whilst Dakiyah is weighted up to her best so this may not take too much winning.
