        Verdict

        Several of these went close on their latest starts including the Irish challenger Groundfrost, Captain Pugwash and Spirit Of Sarwan, who all finished second over 7f. Mach One is holding his form well though remains 6lb higher than his most recent success while Ladies First makes her handicap debut having placed in all three starts in maiden company. But LA SIOUX is the least exposed after beating a subsequent dual winner at Catterick on her racecourse debut in August and Richard Fahey’s filly gets the nod on that form
