Verdict

Gordon Elliott won this last year and has three entries this time with A Toi Phil perhaps the best of them after a tremendous run in the Plate where he would have finished closer but for being slightly impeded. He can reverse the form with third-placed Slowmotion as Joseph O'Brien's five-year-old may just find conditions to tough over this trip. ARBRE DE VIE, who finished sixth at Galway, returned there four days later and beat Shaneshill in great style and today's longer trip and softer conditions will be in his favour so he's taken to reverse the form with those who finished in front of him in the Plate. Kylecrue is in cracking form and comes here with a penalty for Sunday's victory on similar ground here while Colin Tizzard wouldn't be sending the in-form Tempestatefloresco without good reason and a run over hurdles at Newton Abbot will have put him spot-on.
