Dewdrop, who cost 400,000gns as a yearling, finished last on her debut at the Curragh but still started favourite over this trip at Tipperary where she looked very one-paced though she did manage to have Wreckless just behind. This isn't the strongest of maidens but both will need to show some improvement to see off ROSE OF TRALEE. A 100,000gns foal, she missed the break completely on her debut at Leopardstown in June but made eye-catching late headway in what was a strong event won by Tanaza. Retinal led for much of the way on soft ground at Roscommon and will be happier than most in the prevailing conditions while Gainmill Girl is a speedily-bred filly who is one to note in the market.
