In depth

Verdict

Fit The Cove won this a year ago but is now a teenager and hasn't been in that kind of form. Waydownsouth will love the ground conditions but won over hurdles in January and will probably find this on the short side. This is Vasoni's trip and ground but an 8lb rise for last month's Sligo success puts her on her highest ever mark. Enigma Code scored on the sand at Laytown last time and has been raised 4lb while Captain May gained his first ever victory on that track and is just 3lb higher. The former Luca Cumani-trained AVALANCHE was having only his second start for new connections when not too far behind Capitol Hill at Galway last month and, as that was only the fifth run of his career, he's taken to improve enough to gain his first success.
