Verdict

Peregrine Run was favourite to win for the 18th time here on Sunday but fell at the first. He beat Robin Des Foret almost 3 lengths in a Killarney Grade 3 earlier and is only 2lb worse off. The latter's yard also have Cabaret Queen and Blazer entered with Paul Townend on the former and she ran a brilliant race in the Galway Plate so is greatly respected. Doctor Duffy appears to be progressing having won a tough handicap at Ballinrobe to complete a double while Rachael Blackmore chooses Spyglass Hill of Henry De Bromhead's trio and her mount was supported for the Plate but made a bad mistake and pulled up. Ravenhill failed by a head in this last year but is a massive 16lb higher after landing the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham so a chance is taken with INTERNAL TRANSFER (NAP). Fourth in this last year after only fading at the last, he looks to have been trained for another crack with just a solitary run over hurdles this summer and is on the same mark as a year ago with his rider's claim an added bonus.
