In depth

Verdict

Minella Times made a successful handicap debut over fences in a lucrative Grade B at Navan in December then ran very well in a similar race at Limerick. He hasn't been seen since a Grade A handicap at Leopardstown in February but looks the type to have a good season. Bay Hill has amassed 11 victories in his career so can never be ruled out while High Sparrow went up 12lb for scoring over 3m1f at Kilbeggan but still ran very well on a return visit. He couldn't get to grips with the leaders in Wednesday's Kerry National and this is more his level. Crazywork De Vassy landed a minor handicap at Killarney by 20 lengths then made a bold bid to defy a 10lb rise at Galway and is up another 3lb. TREACYSENNISCORTHY won a beginners' chase at this fixture a year ago then completed a four-timer over hurdles before ending the campaign finishing second in a Grade B handicap over fences at Navan. A recent run over hurdles will have blown the cobwebs away and he can return to winning ways.
