Verdict

This is a decent-sized field for the type of race. Sacred Square and Scoppio Del Carro probably have the best form but both have been generally disappointing – the former is having his 10th start over hurdles, though his first in a claimer. Archie Rice is not in the same form as when winning at Fontwell and Newton Abbot in June while Neworld reverted to type last time. GUARACHA, twice successful over a mile on the Flat, stayed on into sixth in a maiden hurdle here nine days ago. That was a big step on an earlier run at Plumpton and the four-year-old can make further progress to land this.
