In depth

Verdict

A big field for this closing bumper with some powerful yards represented. Paul Nicholls’ Groovy Kind cost £44,000 as a three-year-old and is jumps bred. Nicky Henderson’s Meadowsweet cost €46,000 and is out of a winning hurdler. Placed twice in bumpers, Ask The Lady is from a yard that does well in this sphere and is going great guns. Booley Beach was headed right on the line when running green at Musselburgh and Lexi's Choice is definitely one to note for future reference being a half-sister to five winners. BURROWS TREAT is related to useful jumpers Burrows Edge and Burrows Park and Harry Fry knows the time of day in races like this so she gets a tentative vote.
