Verdict

The Welsh Paddles has no problems with the trip and was a bit unlucky not to have gained his first victory over fences at Hereford where he failed by a short-head to concede 8lb to the winner. ALLELU ALLELUIA won a better class race at Newton Abbot in May and is back on the same mark. There's little between the top half-dozen in the weights and he can get back to winning ways. Sumkindofking hasn't done as well as expected after scoring at Southwell in May while Bally Longford has performed moderately since completing a Ffos Las double in June. Another Venture overcame a bad mistake to score at Plumpton in March but then ran poorly at Kelso the following month.
