Wild Card can only improve on his debut third at Huntingdon and may have a little more scope than Trevor Wall's filly Fairy Alisha, but this can go to newcomer NEW YEAR'S EVE. Anything that rookie trainer John Ferguson runs in bumpers deserves the utmost respect and his son of Motivator, who cost 120,000gns as a yearling and is closely related to smart performers on the Flat and over jumps, may prove a cut above this opposition. The danger is probably Philip Hobbs' Bold Henry, though he is by Kayf Tara so will probably need further in time.
