In depth

Verdict

The feature event at the Shropshire track today can go to She's Our Native, with Reem Two, Latin Queen, Titian Flame and Heltornic all making for a competitive contest. She's Our Native has been in terrific form this season, winning three of her last four starts, including twice over the course-and-distance. Nick Williams was in the plate for the first of those successes in December, and is back on board again as she bids to defy another rise in the handicap. She has gone up from a mark of 91 to 120 in the process, but connections have given her an entry in the Royal & SunAlliance Hurdle at Cheltenham, so she will have to get used to running and winning off this sort of mark to justify inclusion in such events. With Ginger McCain's horses in good form at present, her main rival could well be Musselburgh winner Reem Two who goes on fast ground whereas there has to be a doubt about Titian Flame's ability to do the same. Heltornic would almost certainly not want conditions any faster than they are at present, but she has her sights lowered somewhat so cannot be ruled out. Latin Queen has been consistent in defeat, and is best of the remainder, with She's Our Native very much the one to beat.
