Verdict
They say that weight will stop a train, and with that in mind, we shall oppose Inca Trail with Harlov who is due his first win of the campaign. There is no doubting the fact that Inca Trail has silenced a few critics this season, having been coaxed home twice over fences recently. He may be a reformed character, but with another seven-pound penalty for his easy Wincanton victory, Best Mate's brother will find it tough to add to his tally. Harlov displayed plenty of stamina over hurdles and that will stand him in good stead here. The nine-year-old stayed on really well over Carlisle's stiff three miles last time, and is quite well handicapped at present. The fact that his trainer makes the journey from North Yorkshire for the first time is another plus point, and he should be in there at the finish. Of the rest, Wild Spice makes some appeal as he too will be plugging on, while Farnaheezview has plenty of weight but will like the track. So, obviously will course and distance winner Midnight Gunner, but we are happy to side with Harlov.
