Verdict
The firm ground has meant a relatively small turnout for this concluding bumper, but Charlie Kennet has shown he can handle this sort of surface and should be good enough to win at the third time of asking. He caught a tartar in the unbeaten Rakaposhi Lass on his debut at Wincanton, but was clear of the remainder in second place, and again shaped with credit when second on his only subsequent start at Hereford. Warminghamsharpish has improved with every run so far, and was well backed when second at Hexham recently so is the one most likely to give Charlie Kennet most to do. Blackchurch Mist had the run of the race when third at Huntingdon and has since had her limitations well and truly exposed, while Kate's Cottage showed a certain amount of promise in two starts last season and does have scope, but she may need the run on her reappearance here.
