Verdict

Strollawaynow stayed on through beaten horses to finish second to Irish Cavalier at Stratford but shapes as though a longer trip wouldn't come amiss. Macarthur was a smart useful performer on the Flat in his younger days and has been placed in four of his last five runs over hurdles. But he is now a nine-year-old and has had plenty of chances while Drumgooland showed little on his UK debut. Broadway Symphony won a Ballinrobe bumper in July but Nicky Henderson probably holds the key to this as he saddles both Nesterenko and FREE THINKING. The former has placed form in Germany but the latter was a decent sort in bumpers last season and can make a winning debut over timber.
