In depth
Verdict
A hands and heels apprentice bumper rounds off the card, and there's not much form to go on, but we'll tentatively suggest ACORDEON as the likely winner, with the main dangers likely to Double Dash and Ballyoliver. Nicky Henderson's gelding's shown some promise in a couple of bumpers to date, but was a beaten favourite last time out. Ballyoliver won a point to point last time out and now makes his debut under rules. he cost 85 thousand Guineas in November, and connections will be wanting a return. Double Dash showed signs of running green on debut but was still third, and is entitled to improve for that. An interesting one is Scrum V, a good second on debut for Tim Vaughan, and breeding suggests there could be a decent hurdling career to come. Market support for any of the quartet of debutants should be noted, but we'll side with Acordeon.
