      In depth

      Verdict

Iron Maid gets the confident vote in the opener with Blackbury and Lady Ramanov rating the main dangers. The selection is well clear on official bhb ratings, won well last time out when beating Mistified in a handicap, and with the drop back to novice company also in his favour he will be hard to beat. Blackbury showed improved form from his debut when sixth behind Quotable last time. However he will be handicapped after this run and that is where his future may lie. Lady Ramanov is another that showed promise behind Felinious last time and is another with place claims as the step up in trip is sure to suit. Of the remainder White Cloud is a well bred type that could go well but the suspicion is he will come on for the experience. Of the others Rashida was a fair third behind Prince de Besey last time and that horse has since ran well under a penalty but Iron Maid looks to have plenty in hand and he will be hard to beat.
