In depth

Verdict

Area Fifty One was rested after finishing tailed off at Aintree in December. A useful sort on the Flat, he will do better when the ground dries out but is still a leading contender in this along with other previous winners Stephen Hero and Frederic. Blandfords Gunner has shown signs of promise and Set The Trend wasn't disgraced on his belated hurdling debut at Doncaster and should enjoy this sharp track. MASTER DAN was prominent for a long way in an above-average juvenile hurdle at Stratford 10 days ago. A winner over 1m4f on Fibresand, it's significant that he's turned out again quickly and he could be a bit of value in an open-looking contest.
