In depth
Verdict
With his stable in good form, Forever Dream looks the one here, and he looks to have most to fear from Chase The Sunset and Valance. Forever Dream was the best of these over hurdles, earning a rating of 120 and, having fallen on his chasing debut he showed enough when second to Reviewer at Wincanton in March to suggest he is a major player today, having had a seasonal pipe-opener. Chase The Sunset's fair third to Savannah Bay at Huntingdon last time puts him firmly in the money, while, having finished second at Cheltenham from a mark of 110 over hurdles a year ago, Valance is an interesting recruit to fencing. A good winner in Jersey earlier in the year, Jaskini seems to have improved, although, for us, he has something to prove back under Rules in this country. She's My Girl has some reasonable Irish hurdling form but, overall, it needs improving upon, and Diamond Merchant has shown the odd bit of form but, overall, is hard to fancy for win purposes. That honour goes to Forever Dream.
