In depth

Verdict

GoForTheGap, Master Eddy and Michabo catch the eye here, and Michabo is taken to come out on top. Goforthegap shaped encouragingly on only his second run over fences, finishing a good second, and it is a surprise to see him over the smaller obstacles here. He clearly has ability and can go well. Master Eddy has been a close second on two occasions, at Leicester and Stratford. he seems exposed, but has the benefit of experience and can reach a place. An Ascot winner on the Flat, and rated over 80, Michabo shaped well on only his second start over hurdles last time, just touched off over a shorter trip here. A stout stayer, Michabo can take this and looks one to stay on the right side of.
