Verdict

PHANGIO won a point-to-point and a hurdle in Ireland and was also placed in a chase. After a pipe-opener at Hereford for Matt Sheppard, he made all in a four-runner race at Chepstow last moth and looks capable of defying a 3lb rise. Better Days is interesting, however, making his chasing bow while Charlie Mon has already made the frame three times over fences. Vice Et Vertu has been placed four times over the larger obstacles but is hardly consistent and is having his first run since April.
