Verdict

Though without a win in more than three years, JOHN CONSTABLE went close off a higher mark at Uttoxeter in July and he wasn’t enjoying the soft going at Bangor earlier this month. Though he’s not the force of old, Evan Williams’ nine-year-old probably still retains the ability to take a race like this. Dave And Bernie is having a first run for Oliver Signy but was in decent form in Ireland over the summer and Uttoxeter winner The Garrison also makes some appeal, despite a penalty. Rhosneigr and Magical Thomas may be the pick of the remainder.
