Verdict
A decent contest to bring the card to a close and one that can go to Sammy Samba. Perhaps not an original choice, but there has been a lot to like about the gelding's two recent wins at Exeter, with the latter over this same trip. With conditions against fast here and his stable in such tremendous form, then the four-year-old is well capable of defying a further 7lb rise here. There are plenty here in with place claims and one who would be the most likely to take advantage of a below par performance from the selection is Tarski. The eight-year-old would not be improving, but if he runs up to his best - and he does like fast ground - then he should give Sammy Samba most to do. Wings Of Hope won a moderate contest at Ludlow last time and cannot be discounted, though this is a tougher test. Beedelup is a professional bridesmaid at the moment, but is capable enough and will be staying on at the finish, so has clear frame claims. Admiral Peary is one other to consider, though he does look exposed at the moment.
