Verdict
Ken'tucky has a fitness edge over September Moon and should prove to be the answer, with Maraud and Shady Anne best of the rest. Ken'tucky was a convincing winner over three miles here last month, a victory put down to the decent ground, and providing it stays dry, a 10lb hike in the weights is unlikely to stop him with Tony McCoy in the plate. September Moon would be a bigger danger if not for the fact that this is her first outing since falling when in with every chance in the race won by Throwaline at Fontwell in April. Prior to that she had battled on gamely when beating Desmond Tutu at Exeter to open her account over hurdles, and should be noted whatever she achieves here. Maraud is fully exposed, as is Shady Anne, so unless any of the others, Luxembourg included, improves markedly, Ken'tucky, denied a follow-up when withdrawn from an engagement at Fakenham last Friday, looks all set to add to his spoils with ground conditions to suit.
