Verdict

Evan Williams has won two of the last three renewals and IT'S A STEAL can hit the target again for the Llancarfan handler. He didn't do himself justice in a Listed contest for novices at Warwick last time over this trip but had excuses and stamina shouldn't be a problem - he also won here on his penultimate start. A few others are staying types who could find the sharp track against them. Global Power, the luckless Alfie Spinner and Five Star Wilsham all fall into that category but Tony Star won a decent contest over track and trip last month, though is 8lb higher while What A Good Night is 9lb higher than when scoring in this grade at Wetherby back in November.
