Verdict
Evan Williams seems to be struggling to find winners at present so Corran Ard may be best watched and a better bet looks to be Commemoration Day, who gets the vote with Sternenzelt rated the pick of the remainder. The selection hails from the stable of Nigel Twiston-Davies that has his team in fine form at present and, having shown plenty of promise last term, he is taken to open his account over the larger obstacles today. Former point-to-pointer Lady Purton could be of interest on only his third start under rules, while Tyup Pompey was good value for his win here earlier this month but this looks tougher, especially under his penalty. Sternenzelt has been running consistently well and has to be considered but a safer option looks to be Commemoration Day.
