Verdict
Lough Derg Spirit, a smart hurdler on his day, made a winning debut over fences at Wetherby but, after undergoing wind surgery, ran poorly in a better race at Kempton. That wasn't his form but he's not certain to concede 6lb to STAMP YOUR FEET. Three times a winner over timber, including Class 2 handicaps at Haydock and Hereford, he made a very encouraging start over fences in what looked a decent contest at Huntingdon and can go one better with that under his belt. Gone Platinum is 3lb out of the handicap but he's in very good form, following a surprise novice chase victory at Bangor with a fair effort over hurdles at Ffos Las. Oxwich Bay has failed to finish in two of his four starts over fences and was beaten a long way here last time while Petiville, a progressive novice hurdler in 2017, makes his chasing debut after pulling up on his reappearance in October.
