In depth

Verdict

After winning a couple of these events in similar company last month, ISLAND LIFE unseated in the Fox Hunters' at Aintree last time. He gets the nod back at this level as last May's C&D winner Fairwood Present has yet to show his best in a couple of starts this year and was still beaten a distance despite finishing third here on his latest start. Cabinteely and Tara Gale are hard to fancy on their form over regulation fences and Alcarson has yet to win between the flags but Walcot Lathyrus has won four point-to-points and is worth noting on his debut under Rules.
