Verdict
Gee Dee gets the confident vote in the opener with Ellerslie Ali and Dad's Army rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair second behind Bennynthejets last time out and he looks sure to improve again for this longer trip. He has conditions that suit and with his yard continuing in good form he is hard to oppose. Ellerslie Ali rates the main danger on his latest second behind Cornerback, but he is very one-paced at the end of his races and again he looks vulnerable. Dad's Army has run with promise on a couple of occasions in the past but he pulled-up for no apparent reason last time out so can not be put forward with too much confidence. Of the others, Solar Rock is out of a winning chaser and will not have to be anything special to take a hand in the finish, so is certainly worth a cautionary look in the market, but Gee Dee sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
