Verdict

Habitual front-runner Australia Day may be getting a little long in the tooth but wasn't disgraced on the Flat when last seen. Marju's Quest is starting to come down the weights and is eased in grade, as is Gurkha Brave, while it's hard to fault the recent efforts of Dino Mite. But RUSSIAN ROYALE still looks well handicapped and, despite failing to complete the hat-trick behind Chilly Miss at Cartmel last time, might be the one to beat.
