In depth

Verdict

Peters Cousin clearly found 2m too short at Doncaster and was staying on in the closing stages, despite an error-strewn round of jumping. This is a more suitable test but CARROLLS MILAN having beaten some useful mares over the trip at Ludlow on only her sixth start under Rules. Jet Set would have claims on his fourth to Midnight Shadow at Aintree in December but Rubenesque has only beaten modest opposition so far and Coded Message looks in the handicapper’s grip.
