      Verdict

      Much the best of these over hurdles, Tyneandthyneagain should be too good for his rivals today and is given the vote over Rutledge Red and the unexposed Hurlers Cross. The last mentioned has only raced once previously under rules when a creditable third in a novices' hurdle at Perth but the former Irish point-to-point winner should do better over the larger obstacles and cannot be dismissed lightly on his chasing debut. Malcolm Jefferson¿s Rutledge Red, who showed progressive form over timber last term, holds more solid claims but was a faller on his chase debut when returning at Stratford last month. Tyneandthyneagain was similarly progressive over hurdles last term, the highlight coming when landing a competitive handicap hurdle at Doncaster in March, but failed to impress when tried over fences. The gelding is sure to have been well schooled by trainer Richard Guest for his return and, with the stable in such cracking form at present; he looks the one to be on. The remainder look a pretty moderate bunch, so we are happy to side with Tyneandthyneagain to make a winning return.
