Verdict
DOMPERIGNON DU LYS was fancied to give Defu Du Seuil a run for his money in the Triumph Trial at Cheltenham in December but was already struggling to get on terms when making a mess of the second last. He’d been impressive on his UK debut at Newcastle, however, and that race has worked out well - Nicky Henderson’s juvenile should pick up the winning thread again here as Naas maiden winner I See You Well would need to find a lot more. Methag will have more chance when going handicapping while French import Foresee didn’t show much on his first run for new connections on the all-weather.
