In depth

Verdict

Brianstorm, a smart novice hurdler, has been inconsistent over fences while Guetapan Collonges took advantage of heavy ground to win easily at Wetherby for which he's been raised 9lb. Young Wolf has been in poor form in higher grade but has dropped massively in the ratings as a consequence. Cracking Find has an excellent strike-rate and was running well before a poor effort on ground softer than he likes at Wetherby but ANIMAL looks the one to beat. A winning bumper, he was having just his third start over fences when cruising home at Fakenham and the longer trip can bring about even more improvement.
