In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest gets proceedings underway and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Classi Maureen, Corso Palladio and Wilhewispa and the narrow vote is given to Classi Maureen. The selection has been in the form of her life of late and although second behind Forzacurity last time out, she again has conditions to suit and off what remains a fair mark looks the one to be on. Corso Palladio rates the main danger on his latest second behind Kaparolo and with the step up in trip looking to be in his favour he will not be far away off the same mark here. Wilhewispa won well last time out when beating Panchge de Thaix but he looks vulnerable in this more competitive affair under top weight. Of the remainder Scutch Mill was a fair third last time out but his best form is on a faster surface while Vibe looks to have plenty of weight for what he has actually achieved and with this in mind for the winner we return to the progressive Classi Maureen.
