In depth
Verdict
Mac Aeda was very impressive when winning on debut but a penalty makes life tougher so a chance is taken on newcomer SEBENNYTOS ahead of Aviador and Safran De Cotte. Malcolm Denmark has traditionally housed some nice horses and the selection is at least bred to be pretty smart, being a son of the high-class Beat All. Admittedly his dam was modest but she is from the family of French Holly and it would be no surprise to see a bold bid today. Mac Aeda romped home here 268 days ago; if fit he will give it a bold bid under his penalty, whilst Bless The Wings is capable of better than a debut sixth at Huntingdon now the stable are in better nick. Strongbows Legend and Tricky Tree look like two of the more interesting newcomers, along with Safran De Cotte who is related to several winners over in France. Any market support would be interesting for Rationing who is bred to be a Derby winner but he has been sold relatively cheaply when going through the ring. Aviador shaped with plenty of promise at Southwell on debut and is considered, but the vote goes to Sebennytos.
