Verdict
An ordinary looking novices' handicap where Cebonne is probably good enough to defy topweight and beat Woodview and Red Granite. Cebonne, trained by Keith Reveley, has been well beaten in two chases so far but should be better for this step up in trip and also some better ground. An official mark of 94 is no great shakes but now in handicap company he may well prove to be nicely treated. Woodview went pretty well over a similar trip at Carlisle last month but has a bit to prove after running a stinker at Bangor a week ago. He also needs to prove he handles this faster surface. Red Granite acted well on the ground when runner up at Chepstow in November and then tipped up too early to get competitive over a longer trip last time. He is on a handy enough mark if he returns well after a break. Like so many of Jonjo O'Neill's runners Well Saved has been out of form lately but if he can give his true running then he wouldn't be ruled out, but Cebonne is the suggestion here.
