Verdict

A dire race to end the card and SALSERO is the selection with Eborarry and Mr Twins put up as the alternatives. Salsero is less exposed than most in this race but this well bred individual is allowed to take his chance off a hurdling mark of 94 and if adapting to the larger obstacles, he can give weight all around. Eborarry is not one to trust implicitly. His record of second placing is unenviable and he seems fated to find one too good again. Mr Twins ran a career best at Carlisle in October but has shown precious little since. It's Bertie was a big disappointment at Carlisle over two miles and it is impossible to believe that he can run as lamentably again. More Like It makes his first run for Peter Niven having left Martin Brassil in Ireland. Sycho Fred is still a maiden over fences and has questions to answer on the ground. Mistral De La Cour has won similar events in the past but he is plainly very moderate. Salsero is the token selection in a race that is likely to be popular in the betting shops only.
