In depth
Verdict
Bring The Bacon didn't shape badly on chasing debut when third at Plumpton but now faces a field of more experienced handicappers, though he's worth a spot on the shortlist with progress expected. Snougar is one to consider as he's down to a workable mark for the McCain team and Raving Bonkers, a Ludlow chase winner in November who'll be suited by conditions, is also respected. Valseur Du Granval has a sound form chance if turning up, but was scheduled to run at Wincanton yesterday so TORRENT DES MOTTES gets the vote. He's returned to form the last twice and a repeat of either run would see him competitive with Nathan Brennan's claim aiding his cause further.
