Verdict

RUM AND BUTTER was only awarded the race in the stewards' room last time and has to concede a stone to his rivals in this but he's clearly taken well to fences and may be up to the task. Scots Gaelic showed definite signs of promise at Hexham and should have learned plenty while the switch to fences could bring about further improvement in useful hurdlers Vinnie My Boy and Wake Your Dreams. Owen Na View has won between the flags but could find today's ground quicker than ideal.
