In depth

Verdict

Richard Johnson was on board BLACK ANTHEM (NAP) when the latter finished third over hurdles at Southwell earlier this month. That was his first start for Tom Lacey’s yard and he gets the vote back over the larger obstacles today. Simply Loveleh needs to brush up her jumping on the evidence of a recent chasing debut at Stratford but Ever So Much won off a similar mark at Sedgefield last season and Ballycrystal Court won a novices’ handicap over track and trip last summer.
