Camp Counsellor, Callisto Moon and News of the Day make the shortlist here, with Callisto Moon set to go one better after two good displays. Camp Counsellor is a rare hurdling contender for former jump jockey Jamie Osborne. He was only a modest Flat performer, rated 60, and is still a maiden. His recent efforts have only been mildly encouraging, but he is likely to have been well schooled, and may be pacier than most of the opposition. News of the Day may be more of a threat. He comes here after a busy Flat campaign, having won a couple of sellers early in the year, and then progressed into a decent handicapper, rated 70. He will be fit, and clearly has pace and should not have a problem with the trip, having run over a mile and five furlongs recently. Callisto Moon has twice been caught in the closing stages in his two hurdling starts, with Tony McCoy perhaps guilty of going on too soon at Stratford last time. Ridden with more restraint here, Callisto Moon can make it third time lucky and put his superior experience to good use.
