Verdict
Deserter has plenty in his favour here having won twice over similar trips this summer and finishing second on two other occasions. He's been raised 8lb since his latest victory at Fontwell but is still preferred to Magic Music Man, who only won a maiden at Sedgefield and was earlier well beaten behind My Mo at Stratford. We'll take a chance that FREDERIC will come up with the goods back over hurdles as he was in good form in staying races on the Flat over the summer, winning at Musselburgh, and doesn’t look badly treated. Ruaraidh Hugh is hard to predict but did finish ahead of Handsome Dan at Perth last month.
